Meet Su
Associate Marriage & Family Therapist
Each of us holds a complex, interconnected story shaped by our relationships, life experiences, and the deep wisdom carried in the body. At times, that story may include unresolved experiences, ways of being that no longer feel true, or a quiet longing for something more—a sense of ease, clarity, or deeper connection.
As an integrative EMDR therapist, I offer a grounded and collaborative space to explore what’s been held inside. Together, we can make sense of what’s felt challenging, attend to what’s ready to shift, and connect with what feels most authentic and true to you now.
My approach is rooted in EMDR and guided by Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), offering a path to deep change and inner coherence. I also draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt therapy, somatic practices, and attachment theory, weaving together these perspectives to illuminate patterns, deepen self-understanding, and support a more integrated and embodied sense of self.
I believe healing unfolds through connection — with yourself, and within a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship. My work is collaborative and trauma-informed, honoring your inner wisdom as we navigate the path toward deeper self-awareness and meaningful change.

THERAPY SERVICES
Working together
Exploring the deeper layers of your experience is a deeply personal process, one that unfolds uniquely for each person. I offer three pathways for us to work together, each designed to meet you where you are. Whether you're seeking focused EMDR sessions, ongoing therapy, or support alongside another provider, we’ll shape our work to honor your needs, pace, and intentions.
To keep our work grounded in choice and collaboration, I do not bill insurance directly, but I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement if out-of-network benefits are available. I also reserve a few sliding scale spaces with reduced rates starting at $120 for those who may need financial flexibility. If this would be supportive for you, feel free to reach out through the contact from below to inquire about current openings.
Integrative EMDR
50 mins | $175
This service is for adults seeking deep, trauma-informed support through a whole-person approach. Integrative EMDR is designed for those navigating unresolved experiences, protective patterns, or a sense of inner disconnection. Rooted in EMDR, this approach weaves in supportive modalities—such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt awareness, somatic therapy, attachment-based work, and principles of Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB)—to meet each individual’s unique needs and inner process.
Sessions are grounded in present-moment awareness and the understanding that healing unfolds through the interconnected layers of mind, body, and emotional experience. Together, we’ll attend to the specific needs of your nervous system, inner world, and your lived experience—gently processing what’s been held from the past so you can experience greater clarity, connection, and integration in the present. Every session is tailored to you, offering space to reconnect with your authentic self at a pace that honors your readiness and inner wisdom.

Adjunctive EMDR
50 mins | $200
This service is for individuals who are already working with a primary therapist and would benefit from focused EMDR support to deepen or complement their existing therapy. This offering is ideal for those experiencing a sense of stuckness around specific memories, symptoms, or emotional blocks that may benefit from targeted processing in a contained and collaborative space.
Adjunctive EMDR sessions are short-term and designed to work in partnership with your ongoing therapy. With your consent, I can coordinate with your primary therapist to ensure that our work is aligned, supportive, and attuned to your overall therapeutic goals. The intention is to help gently create movement where things may feel halted or unresolved, without disrupting the ongoing relational work you're already engaged in.
If you or your therapist are curious about whether adjunctive EMDR might be a good fit, I’d be happy to connect and explore how we can work together in a way that feels attuned and supportive.

Individual Therapy
50 mins | $175
This service is for those seeking a supportive space to slow down, tune inward, and explore what’s unfolding within—without the use of EMDR. Whether you’re moving through an uncertain season, feeling a bit off-center, or simply curious about your inner world, this space offers a steady, attuned relationship to support your unfolding process.
Grounded in present-moment awareness and a deep for the intelligence of your inner experience, I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt therapy, somatic practices, attachment theory, and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB). Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you—making room for what’s been held, listening for what’s emerging, and supporting your connection to clarity, authenticity, and inner resilience.

My therapy approach
I believe meaningful change comes not just from understanding deeper patterns, but from experiencing new ways of being—with yourself, with others, and in connection to what you care most deeply about. It begins with reconnecting to your most authentic self and honoring the wisdom that already lives within you.
At the heart of my practice is a deep respect for your inner knowing, and the belief that you already hold the capacity for growth, clarity, and inner coherence. I take a collaborative, trauma-informed approach, drawing from thoughtfully integrated therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs. In our work together, I’ll invite you to explore the therapy space as a place to attune to the innate wisdom of your mind and body, uncover what’s shaped your experience, and step into new ways of being that feel more aligned, embodied, and true.
My intention is to offer a compassionate and grounded space where insight, integration, and meaningful shifts can naturally unfold.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that supports the healing of distressing experiences by engaging the brain’s natural capacity to process and integrate. Through the use of bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, tapping, or sounds), EMDR helps reduce the emotional charge of unresolved memories and supports the nervous system in finding more ease and coherence. In my practice, EMDR serves as a primary framework because it allows us to go beyond talking about what’s happened—it supports the mind and body in processing what’s been held beneath the surface. This approach can be especially helpful for addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, and patterns of self-doubt shaped by earlier experiences—creating space for greater emotional clarity, steadiness, and connection with your authentic self. Whether we’re working with specific memories, long-held patterns, or a general sense of unease, EMDR offers a gentle, yet deeply transformative way of supporting change—at your own pace, and with care.
IFS
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a gentle, compassionate approach that invites us to get to know the different parts of ourselves—those inner voices, feelings, or patterns that often show up in response to life’s challenges. You might notice parts that strive, parts that protect, parts that feel overwhelmed or uncertain. IFS helps us bring these parts into awareness with curiosity, care, and respect. Rather than trying to push anything away, we create space for these parts to be seen, heard, and understood—often revealing the deeper needs or emotions they’ve been carrying. As this inner landscape becomes more known and tended to, we begin to feel more grounded, whole, and connected to what IFS calls the Self—the calm, steady center within each of us that holds wisdom, clarity, and compassion. While EMDR is the primary framework in my work, I often fold in IFS as a way to support emotional integration, soften internal conflict, and help you feel more at ease within.
Gestalt
Gestalt therapy invites us into present-moment awareness—into noticing what’s happening internally, relationally, and somatically as it unfolds. It helps us explore how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us by bringing attention to what’s happening right here and now. In my practice, I draw from Gestalt principles to support embodied awareness, emotional clarity, and deeper insight. We may notice how certain emotions show up in the body, explore unfinished feelings through dialogue, or become curious about subtle patterns that arise in the therapy space. This approach creates opportunities to reconnect with parts of yourself that may have felt distant, silenced, or stuck—allowing something new to emerge from a place of mindful contact and curiosity. Gestalt offers a flexible, experiential way to deepen the work, especially when combined with EMDR, somatic awareness, and IFS. It helps make space for what’s true in the moment, honoring your unique inner rhythm and experience.
Somatic
Somatic therapy honors the body as an essential part of healing—recognizing that our experiences, especially those related to stress or trauma, are often held not just in the mind, but also in the nervous system and body. In my practice, I weave in body-based awareness to support emotional regulation, grounding, and a deeper sense of safety within. This might look like slowing down to notice sensations, connecting with breath, or exploring how emotions show up physically in the moment. These small shifts can help bring insight, ease, and greater coherence to your internal experience. By including the body in our work together, we create space for what words alone might not fully express—inviting a more integrated connection to yourself, your boundaries, and your emotional landscape.
Interpersonal Neurobiology
Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) brings together insights from neuroscience, psychology, and relational wisdom to understand how our minds and nervous systems are shaped by experience—especially within relationships. At its heart, IPNB recognizes that healing happens through integration: the linking of different parts of ourselves into a more connected whole. In my practice, IPNB informs how I understand the interplay between brain, body, and relationships. It helps guide a compassionate approach that supports emotional regulation, flexibility, and resilience—while honoring your unique nervous system and life history. This perspective also reminds us that change is not only possible, but deeply relational. Through a safe, attuned therapeutic relationship, we can begin to rewire patterns shaped by past experiences and foster a greater sense of coherence, balance, and connection—both internally and with others.
Attachment-based therapy
Our earliest relationships shape how we relate—to others, to the world, and to ourselves. Attachment-based therapy offers a warm and compassionate space to explore these early patterns and how they may still be influencing your present experience. In my practice, I approach this exploration collaboratively, inviting curiosity around the ways you’ve learned to connect, protect, or distance over time. Together, we’ll tend to relational wounds that may have left imprints of mistrust, disconnection, or fear, while also strengthening your capacity to feel safe, supported, and connected in the here and now. Through an attuned therapeutic relationship, we create space for new relational experiences to emerge—experiences rooted in trust, empathy, and emotional presence. This process can support a deeper sense of ease, authenticity, and connection in how you relate both to yourself and others.
THERAPY PROCESS
What to expect
Beginning therapy with a new therapist is a meaningful step. Here’s a general overview of what our work together might look like:
Our work together begins with a free 20-minute consultation. This is a chance for us to connect, explore what’s bringing you to therapy, and see if we feel like a good fit. You’ll have space to ask questions and share whatever feels comfortable. There is no pressure to make a decision, just a gentle starting point.
If we decide to move forward, our initial sessions will be about settling in and getting to know each other. We'll gently explore your history, experiences, and the challenges you’re facing, as well as what you’re hoping to gain from therapy. Most importantly, it’s a chance for us to see how it feels to work together and begin building a foundation of connection and trust.
As we settle into the process, we’ll begin to explore the deeper layers beneath your experiences. We’ll typically meet for 50-minute sessions on a weekly basis, building consistency and momentum to support deeper exploration and healing. Through a collaborative approach, we’ll work from the frame of EMDR and integrate supportive modalities like IFS, and somatic practices to process what remains unreconciled to reconnect with your inner wisdom and clarity. Together, we’ll navigate challenges, uncover insights, and cultivate meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
Over time, you’ll begin to notice subtle yet meaningful shifts — greater self-awareness, emotional ease, and a deeper sense of alignment with yourself. You might find yourself responding to familiar challenges with more clarity and compassion, feeling more grounded in your relationships, and moving through life with a sense of trust and steadiness. We’ll continue to refine and adjust the work as you grow, making space for new insights and lasting change. This phase is about deepening your connection with yourself, integrating what you've learned, and feeling empowered to navigate life’s complexities with authenticity and greater ease.
Therapy is a dynamic and personalized process, and the length of our work together will depend on your unique needs and goals. When you feel that you've met your goals or are ready to transition out of weekly sessions, we’ll thoughtfully explore what closing therapy looks like for you. We can gradually reduce our meetings to bi-weekly, monthly, and eventually move toward an intentional ending. Together, we’ll reflect on your growth, celebrate the progress you’ve made, and ensure you feel supported as you move forward. You’ll always have the tools we’ve cultivated together — and you’re always welcome to return if you ever feel the need for more support.
